How It Works

Emmi-pet, with its unique and patented dental care system, is now setting a new trend for a completely new kind of dental cleaning and oral hygiene. It is gentle, motionless and does not involve brushing or any abrasive action! This revolutionary method is based on a globally unique patent – the Ultrasonic Piezo-Chip created by Emmi-dent. This Piezo-Chip sits in the head of the ultrasonic toothbrush and generates up to 96 million ultrasonic waves (air vibrations) per minute.

These ultrasound waves are then transferred, via the bristles of the toothbrush head, onto Emmi-pet’s specially formulated toothpaste.

At this point ‘micro bubbles’ are generated, which react with the air vibrations and implode.

These implosions effectively eliminate and remove food particles, plaque and bacteria from within your pet’s mouth.

Emmi-pet effectively combats:

  • Gingivitis and periodontitis
  • Oral cavity diseases
  • Plaque and tartar build up
  • Bad breath

Stage 1 – Gingivitis

  • Margin of attached gingival (gum) is inflamed and swollen/
  • Plaque covering teeth
  • Treatment can reverse condition.

Stage 2 – Early Periodontitis

  • Entire attached gum is inflamed and swollen.
  • Mouth is painful and odour begins to be noticeable.
  • Professional treatment and home dental care can prevent this from becoming irreversible.

Stage 3 – Moderate Periodontitis

  • Cherry red and bleeding attache gum is being destroyed by infection and calculus (tartar). Sore mouth affects eating and behaviour.
  • Bad breath is present.
  • Begining of periodontal disease.
  • May be irreversible.

Stage 4 – Advanced Periodontitis

  • Chronis bacterial infection is destroying the gum, tooth and bone.
  • Bacteria may be spreading throughout the entire body via the bloodstream and may damage the kidneys, liver and heart.

It is estimated that by the time they are 2 years old, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease.

Is the Emmi-pet toothbrush safe?

  • The toothbrush uses high frequency and low power ultrasound to kill the bacteria in the mouth, tooth and promote healing and healthy gums.
  • Normal toothbrushes only scrape away at the bacteria, moving it round the mouth and some still resides on the brush so it isn’t completely gone.
  • With ultrasound and the use of Emmi’s specially formulated toothpaste, there is a great production of micro bubbles which produce the energy to destroy the membranes of the bacteria. This prevents the bacteria from healing itself and so it dies.
  • Emmi-ultrasound, as a company have received nothing but positive feedback from dentists. Patients with other more extreme oral hygiene problems have also shown to benefit from using the brush, by reducing inflammation, bad breath and teeth stains.
  • NO ADVERSE SIDE EFFECTS TO USING THE EMMI-DENT OR EMMI-PET HAVE BEEN FOUND.

Payment Options

We are offering two payment options in the salon. In both options we recommend a home routine to help withhold pets’ dental hygiene.

Option 1 (Pay as you go)

This option will include an initial consultation and your pet’s own, initial brush head. The head will need replacing after 20 visits or sooner if it has been damaged. The initial visit will last 30 mins and follow up visits will last 20 mins.

Follow up visits can be added on to grooming visits or booked for as and when you would like.

Initial consultation including brush head £25

Please note the recommended frequency for optimum results from the ultrasound tooth brush is weekly, although more often is fine too.
